Auctus Metal Portfolios is helmed by experienced specialist bullion dealers and logistics experts. Each member of the team has held leadership roles in globally renowned financial institutions, investment banks and accountancy firms across Asia Pacific and beyond.

David J Mitchell career in investment trading & banking started in 1986, working for some of the world’s most renowned banks. His professional roles encompassed Money Market and FX Trading, Chief Dealer and Head of Proprietary Risk Management. David left investment banking in 2006 to open a private family trust and invested his own capital alongside several of his close clients to return over 110% FUM (funds under management) during the turbulent Global Financial Crisis period. In early 2014, David returned to Singapore to set up Indigo Precious Metals Group within the investment physical bullion industry, and he serves as the Founder and CEO of the Indigo Precious Metals Group along with the Auctus Metal Portfolios Group.
David originally developed the basis for the Auctus Metal Portfolios Provectus Models 1 & 2 by recognizing pricing anomalies in the precious metals markets and understanding that an active re-balancing of a physical metals portfolio would consistently generate outsized returns. These anomalies included long-term cycles, pricing ratios, macroeconomic conditions, supply demand analysis along with numerous other variables. David has published numerous and regular market analysis covering the state of the macroeconomic landscape, FX markets and in-depth overviews of the physical precious metal markets.
David was also the Director of Baird & Co. Asia, the UK’s largest gold refinery, responsible for managing their wholesale operations in Asia from 2017 – 2020.

Scott has three decades of experience in financial management, commodities and logistics. After specializing in International Tax and Trade, Scott left Ernst and Young in Australia to head up a large agricultural business based in Australia and China. As the Managing Director, Scott was involved in the relocation of its production facilities to China and rebuilding its international marketing strategies. Scott specialized in developing long term supply relationships with multinational food corporations and was involved in the full supply chain development from production in Australia and China through to a large customer base spanning Australia, China, Vietnam and Singapore.
After a short period as an Executive Director and partner at PacBridge Partners in Hong Kong, Scott was seconded to a client primarily located in Singapore, working as the CFO of a large Agricultural and mining group. Scott focused on relocating the headquarters of the company to Singapore, setting up the trading desk, and integrating multiple commodity businesses under this platform.
Scott is now based in Australia and oversees the business and commercial development of Auctus Metal Portfolios and the development of the long-term strategies for the future of the business.

Matt has three decades of experience in data analytics, commodities and logistics. Having held senior management positions across a broad range of commodity businesses throughout Australia and South-East Asia, Matt has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience developing and implementing Business Intelligence systems. This extensive range of systems development experience has culminated in him putting together the sophisticated proprietary algorithms that generate our exceptional returns.
Matt is now based in Australia, and will oversee the further development and evolution of our BI systems and utilise these tools to provide valuable trading information to our partners and clients.

Justin began his career at Malca-Amit, where he was rapidly promoted to Head of Bullion Operations & Vault Manager for the Singapore operations. Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and financial institutions, he quickly established a strong reputation within Singapore’s precious metals industry. He was later headhunted by Baird & Co. in London to support the expansion of its wholesale trading, refinery, and sales operations across the Asia region as an Operations Manager.
Justin later joined Auctus Metal Portfolios as Managing Director, where he oversees client relations, portfolio strategy, and business development. With ten years of commodities experience and a strong focus on precious metals investing and macroeconomic analysis, he works closely with clients to develop long-term wealth preservation strategies through physically backed precious metals portfolios. Justin is based in Singapore and oversees the entire operation.
