David J Mitchell
David J Mirchell career in investment trading & banking started in 1986, working for some of the world’s most renowned banks. His professional roles encompassed Money Market and FX Trading, Chief Dealer and Head of Proprietary Risk Management. David left investment banking in 2006 to open a private family trust and invested his own capital alongside several of his close clients to return over 110% FUM (funds under management) during the turbulent Global Financial Crisis period. In early 2014, David returned to Singapore to set up Indigo Precious Metals Group within the investment physical bullion sector. The company has grown quickly on the back of bespoke precious metals portfolio advice to clients.
David originally developed the basis for the Auctus Metal Portfolios Provectus Models 1 & 2 by recognizing pricing anomalies in the precious metals markets and understanding that an active re-balancing of a physical metals portfolio would consistently generate outsized returns. These anomalies included long-term cycles, pricing ratios, macroeconomic conditions, supply demand analysis along with numerous other variables. David has published numerous and regular market analysis covering the state of the macroeconomic landscape, FX markets and in-depth overviews of the physical precious metal markets and precisely where to garner the biggest returns from a particular focus on timeframes and cycles.
David was also the Director of Baird & Co. Asia, the UK’s largest gold refinery, responsible for managing their wholesale operations in Asia from 2017 – 2020.
